2. Adenocarcinoma, acinar
Well-differentiated acinar adenocarcinoma composed of glands resembling the normal mammary alveolus. Also referred to as 'Type A tumor' that may progress to less well-differentiated subtypes, also referred to as 'Type B'. Alveolar tumor variants represent the most common mouse mammary tumors.
