Summary
KIM-2 conditionally immortal mammary epithelial cells differentiated in the presence of insulin, dexamethasone and prolactin. The pulsating dome-like structures are indicative of tight junctions and transepithelial fluid transport. Shots every 10 minutes.
Differentiated KIM-2 cells induced to undergo apoptosis by the removal of lactogenic hormones and reduction of serum to 3%. Dying cells can be observed and this appears to result in destroying the integrity of the domes which eventually stop pulsating and collapse completely.
